Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
Contact us to learn if you are eligible for a government loan through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). Contact us for more information on how to apply.

Second Career
Second Career is a financial assistance program that can provide eligible applicants with up to $28,000 to cover the costs of tuition, books, transportation, basic living allowance (to a maximum of $410/week), child care, manuals, workbooks and other instructional costs. This program is designed for persons who:

  1. Are currently on E.I.
  2. Have been on E.I. any time after 2005
  3. Have been on maternal/parental any time in the last five years
  4. Have been laid off any time after 2005, even if you are not eligible for E.I. benefits
  5. Have been on disability

Monthly Payment Plan
With a monthly payment plan, your tuition costs are divided into monthly payments throughout the program.

Student Line of Credit
A student line of credit is available through your financial institution and can help you pay for expenses related to post-secondary education. Contact us for more information.

Lifelong Learning Program (LLP)
The Canada Revenue Agency Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) allows you to withdraw amounts from your RRSP’s to help pay for your education.

Registered Education Saving Plan (RESP)
Funds from a RESP can help finance your education at TIBC.

Employer and Union Sponsored Education Programs
Many employers and unions offer financial assistance programs. We can assist you in finding financing options that may be available through your employer and/or union. 

TIBC accepts the following methods of payment:

  • Pre-authorized bank withdrawals (for monthly payment plans)
  • Pre-authorized credit card payments (for monthly payment plans)
  • Visa, Mastercard and American Express
  • Debit Cards, cheques, money orders and cash
